Come join us for a mug glazing class! Students will glaze a handmade 18-ounce mug using stoneware glazes. Students will be shown glaze samples and will have the opportunity to customize their mugs. Each student will use a glaze pencil to mark their name on the bottom of their mug.
Mugs will have to be fired before they are returned to students. This kiln load will be finished and ready for pick on the weekend of November 1st and 2nd. Students will be contacted individually to be notified that mugs are ready for pick up. Please not that unexpected maintenance can occur with the kiln, it is unlikely but in the even that this happens it may prolong firing time. If this happens, we will communicate with students. Again, it's not likely to happen but we do like to make students aware.
Once mugs are fired, they will be dishwasher and microwave safe, as well as food safe. Please let me know if you have any questions before signing up. Mug will be held in the studio for pick up for 60 days if student do not come to pick up their mugs after that time they will be discarded for space and organization reasons. We of course will contact students as frequently as needed but at some point, students are responsible for art left in the studio.
